So last weekend, November 26-27, MIT Mountaineering Club had our 21st org anniversary which has been a tradition to celebrate it in Mt. Maculot, Cuenca, Batangas. It was my 1st time to celebrate the MC anniversary.
Here’s what we did. We arrived at Cuenca, Batangas ng mga 5:30pm then we ate dinner. After that nagtricycle kami hanggang sa jumpoff. After some minutes we reached the jumpoff tapos nagready na kami sa trek. Sobrang lamig ng hangin that night and I tried to put my jacket on but
Mr. President, JT, wag na daw kasi pagpapawisan din kami. I just followed what he said though I think it was impossible to get sweaty because its sooooo windy. nagrhyme! windy and sweaty! haha! Anyway, we’re expecting to reach the base camp for 2hrs but after some steep-rocky-trail we finally reached the camp for just 1hr and 15mins. Pagdating namin dun we looked for a spot where we could pitch our tent. So sobrang lakas ng hangin nahirapn kami magpitch tapos wala pang pegs buti nalang may dala ung isa kong kasama. haha! We met alumni MC inducted members and they’re so cool and funny. After some GSM, Empirador, and Gin bulag there we sleep in a small tent where we fit ourselves there and we’re 5. Sardinas na sardinas talaga! We had our breakfast then we go straight to the Rockies of Mt. Maculot. Tapos bumaba na rin kami. Kunting kainan at kwentuhan with other member of the MC. Then we went home. Here’s some photo taken there by

Sarap maging MIT-MC! I’m looking forward for the Mt. Pulag and Guiting Guiting climb some of the hardest mountain in the Philippines. Sa susunod bibili na ako ng trekking pants, shoes pati jacket. haha! Excited na ako! Happy 21st Anniversary MIT-MC!
