CCentral Hotel Ben Tham and Bui Vien

Ho Chi Minh is relatively cheap – which is perfect for budget travelers who wants to explore a high-spirited country. It was my first time to visit the country, I got to taste different Vietnamese dishes and explore the city even with a tight budget. For those who are planning to visit Ho Chi Minh, I would suggest you stay at Ccentral Hotel De Tham or Ccentral Bui Vien, read my blog review to know why.

Ccentral Hotel

Ccentral Hotel has 2 different hotel in District 1, Ccentral Hotel De Tham and Ccentral Hotel Bui Vien. It is a minute or 2 walk away from each other. The location of both hotel is perfect for travelers because it is located in backpackers area of Ho Chi Minh and it is in the middle of the city.

I would suggest the you stay in this area because the price of the transportation, whether taxi, Grab or Uber, will make it worth staying in District 1. Plus, the drivers are familiar with every streets and hotels in the area. Also, legit taxi drivers are hard to go outside district 1.

In Bui Vien street, which is adjacent to De Tham street, a long stretch of it is all restaurants and bars. You can have wide range of choices from the cuisine to the price range when deciding what food to eat.

 

Room – Ccentral Hotel De Tham

We stayed for two nights in Ccentral Hotel De Tham. Right off the bat, we noticed the space of the room was really big. It has a industrial design but still keeping it homey and cozy.

Room – Ccentral Hotel Bui Vien

We also stayed two nights in Ccetral Hotel Bui Vien. It is a small hotel with 2 rooms in every floor. But just like Ccentral Hotel De Tham, the rooms are also spacious and every rooms has bath tub. Double the size of the bathroom in Ccentral Hotel De Tham.

The Garlik Restaurant

The Garlik Restaurant is located at the ground floor of Ccentral Hotel De Tham. The guests can have their breakfast in Ccentral Hotel De Tham and Ccentral Hotel Bui Vien. You can pick 2 dishes from their menu and a juice and coffee. I must tell you, the dish were really good! They serve fresh and hearty dishes that take advantage o the food paradise that is Ho CHi Minh.

The table setting in their restraurant looks really posh.

Mực một nắng nướng tiêu xanh or Sunny Side-up Squid with green pepper, fresh local herbs and herbal spice.

Lime mocktail

Bò nướng ống tre or Grilled Beef in Bamboo Tube with shallots, garlic, lascar leaves and black pepper sauce.
